2002
At age 7 Nina created her first LiveJournal account where she learned how to code and design LiveJournal profiles and pages.

2004
A few years later later a girl named Crystal invited Nina (9) to be a co-owner on her website, Alasting Dreamer. Nina, rather surprised by the invite accepted, excited to learn more then what she already knew. The site was based on Freewebs.

2005
After about a year Crystal closed her site and Nina was left back to her LiveJournal. She wasn’t interested in taking on the full responsibility of a website on her own. She didn’t want to be a site owner, especially not by herself.

2005
It wasn’t long before Nina came across a domain website called Retro Fly that was looking for a co-owner. Interested, Nina applied as a co-owner and was accepted. Nina became good friends with the owner, Bridget. Nina enjoyed the new experience of CPanel, PHP, FanUpdate.

2007
Finally, Nina found out that all good things must come to an end. In late October of 2007 Nina found out that Bridget could no longer afford to pay for the domain every year because of the high school she wanted to go to. Bridget and Nina came to the decision to close the site, instead of downgrading to a sub domain. Though the site had closed, they still kept in close contact.

2009
In July of 2009 Nina was introduced to a site called Slash Penguin thanks for a friend. Nina had intended to adopt a domain but the domain she wanted to adopt had been claimed. So instead, Slash Penguin offered to buy her the domain of her choice.
Out first Nina wasn’t sure exactly how to react to the offer. So she thought it over then decided to take the offer. Now she had to decide on a domain name. She had a few in mind but it came down to AngelWing.nu and SweetSpade.com in the end.
AngelWing.nu was far too expensive though. So she went with SweetSpade.com which was registered on August 5th, 2009.

2009
During the time of 2009 Nina and Jennifer worked on SweetSpade.com but then suddenly Slash Penguin went down. Everything had been lost and Nina was sad. This all happened around November 2009.
On December 28th, 2009, something good did happen! Slash Penguin offered to buy Nina a new domain – since she couldn’t find one up for adoption that she truely liked. She was so happy – even if she did have to start the site over again, she was happy to have her own site and domain once more.

2010
Slash Penguin bought the new domain SweetSpade.org and Nina spoke to Jennifer about getting the site back up. Naturally, jennifer looked to see if she had the old files from when she helped Nina work on the site the first time. She did! Better yet, she even had a back up file of the MySQL! So they didn’t have to start from scratch!
On February 7th, Slash Penguin sent Nina the log in information for the site. She was so excited to be able to get back to work! Of course, when Jennifer and her tried to upload the MySQL database everything went wrong. At first, the file didn’t wish to upload! So they had to deal with that problem – but with help from Slash Penguin they were able to fix it. After that though, when they tried to access the wp-admin page, it transfered them to SweetSpade.com and no one could figure out why.
Once again, Nina was sad. She didn’t want to sound pushy since Slash Penguin was helping her so much already. One day though, in early March, she was talking to Jennifer on IM. After explaining the problem, she offered to take a look into it and was able to find the problem. of course, Jennifer didn’t want to take all the credit – she couldn’t. If the people at Slash Penguin hadn’t suggested something wrong with the MySQL she wouldn’t have been able to find the problem. It was only after their suggestion of a MySQL issue was Jennifer able to consider looking into the file, where she then found the problem.
So with a few changes to the settings in the MySQL database they were able to once again access the wp-admin! Nina was so happy! She had missed her domain and site a lot over these last few months. It was back now and with a few edits to the WordPress setting the site was back up and back to normal! Just like it had been before.
